The air is crisp, the leaves are turning, and the spooky season is officially here! If you are looking for the perfect fall family activity that combines festive fun, outdoor recreation, and a dash of magic, look no further. The herd at Swell Retreat is getting dressed up in their Halloween finest, and we want you to celebrate with us.
This October, we are hosting two incredible, family-friendly equine experiences. Whether you want to saddle up for a scenic trail ride or just want to snuggle a donkey in a costume, we have something for everyone.

🤠 Option 1: Halloween Costume Trail Rides
Dress up, saddle up, and make unforgettable memories! Imagine riding a beautiful horse adorned in festive Halloween accessories through our stunning landscape. This is a guided, small-group experience designed to keep things intimate and safe.
What's Included: A 30-minute guided trail ride in a small group (maximum 4 riders, accompanied by 2 staff members). There will be plenty of gorgeous fall backdrops for photo opportunities!

Thursday, October 29: 11:00 AM | 11:45 AM | 12:30 PM | 1:15 PM | 2:00 PM (20 total spots)
Friday, October 30: 11:00 AM | 11:45 AM | 12:30 PM | 1:15 PM | 2:00 PM | 2:45 PM (24 total spots)
Price: $45 per rider
📝 How to Register for Trail Rides:
Because we keep group sizes small, spots are limited and will sell out quickly. Follow these simple steps to claim yours:
Open our Swell Retreat Sign-Up Sheet and select your preferred time slot.
Send your payment of $45 per rider via Venmo to @SwellRetreat.
Important: Include the rider's name, along with your chosen date and time, in the Venmo payment note so we can confirm your slot!
🎃 Option 2: Come Meet Our "BOO-tiful" Herd!
If you prefer to keep both feet on the ground but still want to join the festive fun, this afternoon gathering is for you. Come hang out with our entire herd of 13 equines—including 11 horses, 1 pony, and 1 very festive donkey—all dressed up for Halloween!
What's Included: Supervised horse interactions, family photos with beautiful fall decorations, fun yard games (cornhole, ladderball, tetherball, and more), and sweet Halloween treats.

How to Join: Walk-ins are entirely welcome, or you can register ahead of time to secure your family's spot. Family and individual costumes are highly encouraged!
